Doug Dickson was a member of the Asia Pacific Kodak Professional Leadership Team and undertook international finance training at Monash University in Melbourne, Australia. Currently he is Managing Director of Photo Illusions Limited.  

 

Doug commenced with Kodak in 1969 as a Technical Demonstrator and progressed within the organisation to the senior management team where he was Country Business Unit Manager for Kodak Professional, General Manager & Director for Chromotek Colour Laboratories. He was responsible for overseeing of all facets of business operation including budget responsibilities sales and expenditure, market growth strategy development and was a trustee of the Kodak superanuation fund in New Zealand.

 

In 2001 Doug joined Beyond Imagination Global Ltd, a digital technology company specialising in imaging development with a focus on photo restoration, as International Market Development Manager and was pivotal in developing a world-wide market growth strategy along with implementation of local dealer network channels. He establish manufacturing operations in New Zealand, India and China and was part of the team that successfully created an international market for the photo restoration services. 

 

Currently Doug is a partner and managing director of Photo Illusions Ltd and he is implementing full management of strategic assignments/projects from external production facilities to the hands on management of business operations that have need of professional management input. This includes being contracted to Advanced Imaging Services Ltd a dental CBCT scanning operation in Auckland as General Manager and contractor to Azzmax Ltd. as Asset Management Project Co-ordinator working with the development team & key clients. 

 

Doug has completed a wide variety of courses in Market Segmentation, Business Planning, Leadership Engine, Personal Development, Strategic Development Resources, Behavioural Competency, Consumer Legislation, Business Advantage and Strategic Financial Management. He enjoys mentoring, working with youth, sailing, motor racing, sport activities, Christian mission work and beef farming including having run and operated a 130-acre beef farm north of Auckland!
